Rules for DesiChat Users.
Welcome to Desichat.
Please read the basic rules governing DesiChat. Disregarding any of the rules listed below may result in your being kicked, temporarily banned (room ban) or permanently banned (server ban). Therefore, before starting to chat for the first time at Desichat, we request you to read the basic rules governing Desichat.
Chat Rules and Etiquette:
1. Do not use long or weird nick(s) which may generate any political
or religious dispute.
2. For uncencored, political, and religious chats use room(s) specified for the purpose.
3. Do not post any reference which contains sexually explicit images or other offensive content.
4. Do not use racially or ethnically offensive language.
5. Do not disrupt the flow of chat in chat rooms with vulgar or abusive language
- Text flooding
- By repeating the same text
- Hitting the return key repeatedly
- or inputting large pieces of texts that result in the screen scrolling.
- Do not harass, threaten, embarrass, or do anything else to a chat participant that is unwanted.
- Do not offer for sale products or services.
- Do not impersonate Desichat, it's staff, or community leaders, such as owners, administrators, moderators.
- Refrain from soliciting a Desichat member's password or other account information.
- DO NOT use explicit/vulgar/obscene language.
- Avoid posting or requesting personal information for example:
- Home address,
- E-mail address,
- Telephone number, etc. in public.
- Avoid using excessive capital letters (Caps) in your texts and nicks
- Use of excessive Caps in chat is seen as shouting.
- Avoid frequent use of light color, sound, and underlined text (These are for occasional use).
- Do not repeat letter(s) excessively to type a word
Note: Remember, moderators don't take any action for private or p2p (Person to Person) messages.
Ignoring message(s) from a particular person:
- select the person's screen name in window on the right listing everyone in the chat room (members list) and click the right button of the mouse.
- Commands screen will appears. Click Ignore member's domain this will result in his/her text window not appearing on your screen.
